Location: Schoolhouse
Even highly trained classical musicians are often unsure about authentic Baroque performance practices. Most know that some significant differences exist in things like vibrato, ornamentation and pitch, but aren’t quite sure what they are. Details like these can have a significant impact on the personality of a piece, and can be played authentically on modern instruments. If you’d like to learn to add an element of authenticity when you play the music of Bach, Handel and other greats, join Artistic Director Lucinda Carver, Susan Feldman, Leif Woodward and Courtney Huffman for this one-day workshop to get practical information you can apply right away to your playing. Registration includes a ticket to the faculty’s evening performance.
